Is the juice worth the squeeze?
John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” As Christians we find ourselves in the middle battles, wars, storms, but through it all we must remember these things were actually promised to us. It’s not that we won’t face these things, it’s how we handle it, its how we give up the unknown to Christ. We must remember that when dealing with problems, when dealing with our troubles we are commanded to take them to the Lord. When we deal with these issues are we walking with the Lord? So what does this have to do with Juice? We are given a choice to live a life of continual sin but what are we giving up? Matthew 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Heaven is the juice. As stated in Revelation 21:4-8 “4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” Eternal death verses perfection, what do we want? Are the pleasures of worldly things worth giving up perfect eternity? This is a question we all must ask ourselves. In our everyday walk with Christ our choices are being tallied and counted. Never forget to ask yourself if whatever you are going to do is worth your eternal self? Walk with Christ today, so you can walk with Christ forever. We never know how long we have so if choosing Christ is not worth today’s satisfaction, then maybe for you the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. For me, living for Christ is worth giving up as much sinful behavior I can. No one is perfect, but living for love, living for giving, living for each other, and living for Christ has got to be number one in our life.
