Using your Gifts for Christ

Using your gifts for Christ

Matthew 28: 19-20 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” What do you do to spread the word for Christ? What job you have, what hobbies you have, no matter what outlet you have using that as a gateway to spread the word of Christ is what we ought to be doing. Use your gifts God has given to you to be a gateway to the Lord. If you can sing, or dance, draw, or write, find a way to incorporate God into your gift. When God created you it was for a reason. Don’t squander the beautiful gifts from Heaven. 1 Peter 4:10 “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:” Using your talents can be as simple as singing in your church choir. It can be reaching out on social media. Draw beautiful pieces and add scripture to them. Do things for charity with your gifts. Romans 12:6-8 “Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.” Don’t just sit back and hope for the world to change. God sent all of us and we all have opportunity to spread the word. So get off the couch, find your gift, find your talent, and preach the word. If you can’t preach, teach. Get excited for God. Let your faith show on your sleeve, let it show in everything you touch, everyone you meet. You should be so Christian that just by the way you act people can tell that you’re different. Living in Christ makes you different. We are saved in the light, by the water. Don’t wait till tomorrow, don’t hope for change, be that change.
